FACEBOOK/WHATSAPP
MESSAGE
EMAIL / YOUTUBE
NOTIFICATION
Messages and
Notifications are filled with call to actions that other people want you to
perform. It could be
1. Worthless morning wishes/quotes.
2. Useless Videos/Gifs
3. So called Inspirational quotes.
4. YouTube notifications
5. Messages from friends, co-workers or
clients that isn’t matter a lot.
So when you wake up and instantly browse through this stupid things then
psychologist says your decision making process slows down, sometime you feel
like more sleepy and lazy. You find everything is so irritating around you and
that time your depression level is at peak.
Let’s take some example, suppose in the morning you are planning to do an
important work that time a message came that your friends are planning for a
movie, I swear that message will definitely disturb you a lot. Similarly when
you get a YouTube notification in the morning with a catchy title and a
beautiful thumbnail, you can’t resist your emotions and go on watching one by
one which ultimately waste your precious morning time.
Now question is How to handle morning itching of checking
messages/notifications?
So far you have understood the downside of checking social networks in the
morning & you are now probably relating yourself to many of the points
listed above. If yes, then you are already in the path of making your morning
meaningful.
The difference between an achiever and a non-achiever is an effective
morning routine. Here morning routine just doesn’t mean waking up, bathing and
going to school/college/work. A morning routine sets up your day for success
and focus like no other. The most popular book in this space is the
Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod, which outlines six principles called the
“S.A.V.E.R.S”.
PS: No need to read that book, just read this article you can get the entire
important gist from there and also we have added up some more effective points
so that it can help you a bit more.
1. Silence – Meditation for at least 15-30
minutes. Meditation has a lot of positive impacts and help in
keeping your mind fresh.
2. Affirmation – You encourage yourself with
positive thinking and words. You are your biggest supporters and talking to
yourself with positive words would give you the necessary push to start off the
day well.
3. Visualization – Picturing yourself as
successful and in the place you want to be. Some successful people are called
visionaries, because they can think of what the future looks like and go
execute their dreams. Visualizing helps everybody focus on a very clear goal.
4. Exercise – The first step to curing
depression is exercise. Do some cardiac exercise and or Yoga. Do not waste time
in GYM unless it is necessary.
5. Reading – Do not read romantic, detective
or humorous stories in the morning. Reading some inspirational content in the
morning really perks you up. If you initially don’t want to purchase or read
some long stories then this E-Book (The Dream) can help you for the same.(click
here to download) or else go for “Gita-As it is” book. (You can also search in Google
for more such inspirational stories or books)
6. Scribing – Getting your creative juices
flowing and putting your thoughts in to words. Successful people put work out
there. Writing helps you channel your thoughts and put it out in a meaningful
manner. It also helps in validating your thoughts, when people appreciate your
work.
Apart from the incredible morning routine mentioned above, do your favorite
work in the morning.
- A lot of successful
people check their messages only in the afternoon when they are most
sluggish.
- Tell people around to
call you if there is anything important and if they send you a message
tell them to expect a message only within a few hours.
- Work on your to-do list
should be the first thing in the morning. Plan your entire day perfectly
and after that check your messages, I am sure you will not going to waste
your time because your daily routine opposes you to do so.
- Finest idea will be
switch offing your phone in the morning between 6 to 9AM (if possible).
- But you must try to avoid checking the messages in the wake up time (compulsory)
Well, successful people have different ways of managing their messages but
one thing which is common in between them: messages are not the way to start a
day. If you are doing it; it’s the right time to skip this bad habit & do
something which would make your day count.
